Adetoro T. Olugbemi focuses her practice on regulatory compliance and due diligence for clients across the healthcare industry, including hospitals and health systems, pharmacies, ambulatory surgery centers, laboratories, digital health startups and others.
Adetoro is particularly experienced helping clients navigate issues related to the Stark Law, the Anti-Kickback Statute, the Federal Civil Monetary penalty provisions and the False Claims Act. She is also well-versed in state-level regulatory compliance issues, including state licensure requirements, scope of practice issues, and state fraud and abuse laws.
Adetoro assists clients in establishing telehealth and telemedicine programs, and consulting on corporate practice of medicine, licensing and reimbursement issues that arise in relation to telehealth and telemedicine and virtual care.
Adetoro also works with clients to identify regulatory needs for high-value healthcare mergers and acquisitions for healthcare providers, established digital health organizations and start-ups, and life sciences companies.
Prior to joining McDermott, Adetoro worked with the legal department of the Johns Hopkins Health System.
