Biography

Michelle Lapointe is a deputy legal director at the National Immigration Center (NILC). She is based in Atlanta and has represented immigrant workers in civil rights and employment cases, primarily in the South, for fifteen years. Prior to NILC, Michelle worked at the Southern Poverty Law Center’s Immigrant Justice Project. She holds a JD from American University Washington College of Law, where she was a Public Interest/Public Service Scholar, and a BA from Wellesley College.
