STEPHEN L. SHIELDS is a partner in the Memphis law firm of Jackson, Shields, Yeiser & Holt. He is listed in Best Lawyers in America. As an attorney, Mr. Shields has spent hundreds of hours representing clients in negotiations, mediations and arbitrations. Mr. Shields is a frequent speaker and author regarding labor and employment law. He is an adjunct professor of labor law at the University of Memphis School of Law where he teaches Alternative Dispute Resolution. He is a member of the Memphis-Shelby County, Tennessee and American Bar Associations. He is the past Chair of the ADR Section of the Memphis Bar Association as well as past Chair of the Labor & Employment Law Section. He is past President of the Memphis Bar Foundation. He is past Chair of the Tennessee Association of Professional Mediators (TAPM) and has returned this year as its Vice-President/President-Elect. In 2015, Mr. Shields was chosen as the recipient of the prestigious Grayfred Gray Public Service in Mediation award.
