Alex Koskey is a shareholder with Baker Donelson in Atlanta. He is co-chair of the firm’s Financial Services Data Privacy and Cybersecurity Team and a member of its Data Incident Response Team. As part of his full service practice, Alex counsels clients on a variety of proactive data privacy and cybersecurity measures including global data protection and privacy compliance programs, incident response plans, information security protocols, vendor management programs, and executive and employee training. He also represents highly regulated businesses, financial institutions, municipalities, educational institutions, e-commerce businesses, and other companies in responding to data incidents and cyberattacks including investigation and containment of the incident, assessing potential notification requirements and compliance with applicable laws, strategizing crisis communications with relevant stakeholders, and responding to regulatory investigations and enforcement actions. He is recognized as a Certified Information Privacy Professional in U.S. and European data privacy law (CIPP/US, CIPP/E) by the International Association of Privacy Professionals and is among a small number of attorneys in the country who are credentialed as a Payment Card Industry Professional (PCIP).
