Rusty grew up in Ripley, TN and attended college at Ole Miss and University of Memphis followed by law school at The University of Memphis School of Law. In law school, Rusty was Associate Editor of the Law Review and received the Phi Delta Phi Scholarship award along with a couple of AmJur Awards.
Rusty has practiced since with the law firm present known as Rainey, Kizer, Reviere & Bell, PLLC with offices in Jackson, Memphis, Nashville. Chattanooga and Martin, TN and also Fulton, KY. Rusty is an AV rated attorney and is certified as Civil Trial Specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He is a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers. He has also been recognized for several consecutive years by The Best Lawyers in America and was named Lawyer of the Year in Insurance Law for 2014‐15 by that group. He has also been recognized by Super Lawyers as is currently included in their list of Top 100 Attorneys in the State of Tennessee.
He is Practice Group Leader for the Tort and Insurance Practice Group in his firm and handles civil litigation, including first‐party/bad faith claims, professional negligence for attorneys and realtors and premises liability in Tennessee, Mississippi and Arkansas where he is licensed, but also has litigated in Kentucky and Alabama well.
Having tried over 100 jury trial, Rusty speaks frequently at CLE programs involving aspects of trial practice across the state. He also served a chair of the Local Civil Rules Sub‐Committee for the United States District Court Subcommittee and also the Magistrate Selection Committee for the Western District.
