Biography

Ronald E. Poe (“Ron”) is an Attorney at Law, licensed to practice in the State of Tennessee since 1980. He has focused most of his career in the field of real estate; business entity formation; estate planning and probate; dispute resolution and the representation of clients before governmental agencies regarding real estate matters. Ron holds the rating of “AV” by Martindale- Hubbell Peer Review Ratings. He is also licensed in the State of Tennessee as a Limited Insurance Producer and is a Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 31 Certified Mediator.

Ron is a graduate of the University of Memphis and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree (BBA) (1973), a Master of Business Administration Degree (MBA) (1978) and a Degree of Juris Doctor (JD) (1979).

Ron has served for nine (9) years as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Finance, Insurance and Real Estate, Fogelman College of Business at the University of Memphis, teaching Real Estate Law.

Ron has been actively involved with the Memphis Area Association of Realtors and the Tennessee Association of Realtors. He has served in various roles and has been honored with awards for his support of the Realtor Association. Ron was named “Educator of the Year 2008” by the Tennessee Association of Realtors. This prestigious award was given for his dedication and desire to create and provide educational programming for the real estate profession.

Ron has served for the past twelve (12) years as Special Liaison Counsel for the Tennessee Association of Realtors Residential Forms Committee. Ron has worked diligently through this period assisting in the development of a comprehensive Forms library to promote standardized contracts and other transactional forms for use by the TAR membership throughout the State of Tennessee.
