William Worrall is a civil engineer who has served with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers since 2011, in locations including Louisville, Nashville, New York, and Afghanistan. In his current role with the Nashville District Regulatory Division, he leads as Chief of the Technical Services Branch, with responsibilities for regulatory permitting, compliance, and enforcement throughout Tennessee, Kentucky, and Alabama. Mr. Worrall is co-founder of the Nashville Tree Conservation Corps, where he served as Vice Chair through 2023. He has been lead of the organization’s Policy Committee, which has worked tirelessly within Nashville to ensure implementation of existing tree policy, hiring of additional urban forestry staff, protection of trees and forested areas within dozens of development plans, and supporting the development and passage of six substantial tree policies within Nashville and Davidson County. Many thousands of trees have been protected and planted in Nashville as a result. Mr. Worrall is a graduate of Virginia Tech and a licensed Professional Engineer in Tennessee and Kentucky.
