Biography

Tanya Frey is the Founder and CEO of Terra Firma Consulting, helping nonprofit organizations achieve sustainable success through strategic recruitment, executive placement, and organizational development. Her diverse expertise enables the firm to offer a highly personalized, concierge-level service that emphasizes workplace culture and organizational fit. As Vice President of the Midsouth Territory for ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital she successfully built and led a 54-person high performing team managing over 40 annual events, including multi-million-dollar fundraising efforts, with direct fundraising budgets of more than $60M. In prior leadership roles within the ALSAC Legal Division, Tanya ensured the $2.5B fundraising and awareness organization operated at the highest levels of fundraising compliance, directed regulatory initiatives, and managed high performing legal teams. Tanya is a passionate advocate for equity in the workforce. She has an impressive track record in hiring, retention, and promotions, leading to more inclusive workplace environments. An accomplished public speaker, Tanya has shared insights on leadership, legal operations, and fundraising strategies at nationally recognized conferences and industry seminars. She holds a J.D. from the University of Arkansas School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Justice from Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas. She serves her Memphis community as a thought partner, board member, and advocate for community organizations. Tanya is married to a long-suffering Saints and Detroit Tigers fan, and their three teen boys "help take care" of their two rescue dogs, Buddy and Bo. She has a goal of visiting every football stadium in the SEC, even Texas and Oklahoma...eventually.
