Faculty Profile: Sara Fischer

Sara serves as the Permanency Specialist Program manager for Harmony Family Center. She joined Harmony in 2022. Her child welfare career began with CASA and then she transitioned to the Department of Children’s Services where she worked in many areas to include court liaison, foster parent support and foster care team leader.  Sara has been married to her husband, Robert, for 35 years. They have 3 sons, a daughter, and 6 grandchildren. They have many furry kids, including fosters. Sara enjoys gardening, reading, and spending time with friends and family. Sara graduated from MTSU with a bachelor’s in social work.  She graduated with her master’s in public service administration and management from Cumberland University.
