Biography

Julie Singer, M.Ed., J.D., is a Nashville-based therapist at Nashville Psych and a former practicing attorney. She works with adults navigating anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, life transitions, relationship concerns and the emotional demands of high-responsibility careers, with a particular understanding of the pressures facing attorneys and other legal professionals. Before entering the mental health field, Singer practiced law for 10 years. She earned her Master of Education in Human Development Counseling from Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College and previously earned both her bachelor’s degree in English and law degree from the University of Virginia. Her experience as both an attorney and therapist informs her work helping clients better understand the ways professional pressure, perfectionism, identity and relationships can affect well-being and fulfillment.
