Biography

General Andr?e Blumstein is the Solicitor General for the State of Tennessee.  The Office of the Solicitor General oversees all appellate litigation, both state and federal, for the State.  During 2012-2014 she served as Chief Justice of the Special Supreme Court appointed by the Governor to hear Hooker v. Haslam.  As a member of Sherrard & Roe, PLC, (1993-2014) she focused her practice on appellate litigation and has been recognized in, among other publications, Woodward/White The Best Lawyers in America, 2003-2015, for Antitrust, Appellate Practice, Litigation-Antitrust, and as Nashville Antitrust Lawyer of the Year 2015.  She is the recipient of the 2012 Justice Joseph W. Henry Award for Outstanding Legal Writing and has chaired the Editorial Board of the Tennessee Bar Journal since 2003.
