Biography

Mr. Voigt heads Sherrard Roe Voigt & Harbison's health care law practice spending the majority of his time representing providers and provider-owned and affiliated entities of all types, including physicians and physician groups, hospitals, outpatient surgery centers, sleep centers, independent practice associations, and medical malpractice insurance companies with a significant emphasis on the governance and regulatory aspects of these businesses. Mr. Voigt has significant experience with internal medical group issues, governmental investigations and inquiries, hospital-physician integration, and medical practice combinations including mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. Mr. Voigt's practice also covers the more general areas of business organization law including limited liability companies, corporations, and partnerships in all aspects of their operations.
Mr. Voigt is a graduate of Emory University School of Law, where he served as managing editor of the Emory Law Review. Prior to attending Emory, Mr. Voigt received his M.B.A. from Wharton, where he was a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, and served as the CEO of the Georgia Medical Care Foundation, a medical peer review organization affiliated with the Medical Association of Georgia. Mr. Voigt received his bachelor's degree from Carleton College.
