Biography

Mr. Murrah is an attorney with the Evans Petree firm in Memphis, Tennessee, and is certified as an Estate Planning Law Specialist by the Estate Law Specialist Board, Inc., an organization accredited by the American Bar Association. Mr. Murrah's practice is concentrated primarily in the areas of estate planning, probate, estate & trust administration and federal income taxation. He attended the University of Mississippi School of law and has been licensed to practice law in both Mississippi and Tennessee since 1984. He was an adjunct law professor at the University of Memphis School of Law, where he taught Estate and Gift Taxation from 2000 through 2015. Prior to practicing law, Mr. Murrah obtained his license as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA license is now retained on inactive status). He has been included in Best Lawyers in America - under the category of Trusts and Estates, and Super Lawyers - under the category of Estate Planning and Probate.
Mr. Murrah is a graduate of Millsaps College (B.B.A.), Emory University (Master of Law in Taxation) and University of Mississippi School of Law (J.D.) He is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and the Estate Planning Council of Memphis.
