Faculty Profile: A. Russell Willis

Russell Willis is Disciplinary Counsel for the Board of Professional Responsibility of the Supreme Court of Tennessee and responsible for litigating formal disciplinary proceedings before hearing panels, intermediate appeals and appeals to the Tennessee Supreme Court. A 1984 graduate of the University of Tennessee School of Law, he served as law clerk for the Honorable William C. Koch and the Honorable Thomas A. Higgins. Prior to joining the Board in 2012, he practiced law in Nashville, Tennessee for over twenty-five years, primarily in civil and administrative litigation. He also had the privilege of being appointed to two terms as a member of the Tennessee Commission on Continuing Legal Education and Specialization.
