Description: Tennessee law is changing fast. What you need to know includes, now more than ever, what is happening in the legislature. For that reason, the Litigation Section's yearly CLE will start by focusing on the continuing tort reform and related legislative efforts with a balanced panel of legislators and lawyers involved in the process.
In this 7-hour CLE (6.0 General/1.0 Dual), we will also provide an excellent slate of seasoned practitioners and jurists who will provide guidance on how, in this rapidly changing world of Tennessee litigation, to best prepare winning pleadings, take valuable depositions, obtain injunctive relief and prepare your case for trial. You will hear insight on how to navigate the ethical issues involved in referral and in working with co-counsel, and an excellent panel of in-house attorneys will share their views on the ongoing legislative changes as well as their expectations of outside counsel in handling litigation.
We will end the day with an informal cocktail party to give litigators from around the state an opportunity to network and relax.
