Preliminary applications.

Not much if any. Would be a good course for someone two months out of law school but after as many years I have been in the system, not very impressive. Speaker was a nice guy seems llike.

The presenter talked about when a judge can stop the prelim hearing. I have heard so many opinions that I was uncertain as to the actual truth. There was a good discussion on that issue and I thought it was helpful.

Excellent presenter--would take another course from him.

Using Furloughs as a potential new way to mold a plea agreement.

I enjoyed the practical (as opposed to purely academic) insights offered by this course.

Too much rule talk, would have preferred more time on motions, esp. furlong, contact, and suspension of service. Nicely done though, I guess just needed more time.

Very helpful. Good basics 101 course.

I learned a criminal defendant can waive his right to a preliminary hearing if he fails to attend the preliminary hearing unless he can prove by clear and convincing evidence his absence at the hearing was out of his control.

Very beneficial program.
