Tennessee Uniform Limited Partnership Act of 2017

Description:

In May of 2017, Tennessee enacted The Tennessee Uniform Limited Partnership Act of 2017, which will apply to all new limited partnerships formed on or after January 1, 2018, and limited partnerships created before January 1, 2018, that elect to be covered under the new Act. Lee Popkin and Thomas Norris, Jr., who were both members of the committee which drafted the new Act, will highlight the significant differences between the Tennessee Uniform Limited Partnership Act of 2017 and the preceding Tennessee Uniform Limited Partnership Act of 1988, and provide commentary on the Committee's decisions for the changes under the new Act.

Not well organized. Rambling. Not particularly helpful.

Tom, Great CLE. I really enjoyed learning about these changes and hope to apply this to my practice.

Very good overview of this new TN legislation. Especially appreciated the comparison and contrast to TN's old law and the new law, and to DE law. The presenters were well prepared and offered practical considerations in drafting agreements. Very well done!

This was a great program. Mr. Popkin was an excellent presenter.

Presentation could be better prepared with two speakers -I enjoyed it.

There was so much info that instead of only giving us the statute, but also giving an outline of the topics presented at a minimum would have been a big plus on the materials. Otherwise, really useful information. I like the presentation but now have more doubts about using a Tennessee Limited Liability Company until some of the statutory vagueness is resolved in court....by someone else.

I learned about changes to LP Act.
