Environmental Law, Local Government Practice

Local Government: Clean Water Act

Description:

The scope of the Clean Water Act is limited to the "navigable waters" of the United States, but this has been broadly defined to include wetlands, or areas that are underwater at times. This program will help you understand the Federal Clean Water Act and the Tennessee environmental laws. Some topics discussed include: jurisdictional waters, wetlands, permits-regulatory takings, hydrologic determinations, MS4 concerns, and citizen suits.
