Dispute Resolution, Family Law

Dispute Resolution: Hot Issues in Family Law Mediation

Description:

Family Law is an area where the parties often find it impossible to think with their head – rather than their heart. Mediation is particularly well suited to healing conflict in divorce cases because of absence of a declared or perceived victor. In this session the speaker will discuss tips for Mediators who do or want to do Family Law mediation.

Good discussion on money guiding and directing so many family law issues and child support calculation on TN and the impacts it has on men v. women. Good to put responsibility on the attorneys to help some of these problems that we see.

I am a mediator and an attorney -- the presenter, being an attorney but not a mediator, gave some good tips to remind us what the attorneys want. He made a good presentation and brought up a lot of point as review for me from my mediation training.
