Legislative Update 2019

Description:

This presentation is an overview of bills drafted by the TBA as well as bills which the TBA worked on with other groups. You will gain insight on the latest news and information about why, and how, the bills were proposed and what to watch for in the year ahead from the legislation. The TBA gets its informal feedback on legislation from the TBA Section Executive Counsels, since they are made up of attorneys who have first-hand knowledge and experience on the practice areas affected by the legislation. The topics of this years’ bills include: construction liens, trial court subject matter jurisdiction, probate omnibus, and adoption law. The presenters are Berkley Schwarz, TBA Public Policy Coordinator, and attorney Brad Lampley.
