Part 2 of the Ethics Roadshow continues to examine how change is impacting legal ethics. A handful of states have either already adopted, or are seriously considering, fundamental changes to the ethics rules that would fundamentally reshape the landscape for legal services. These changes have at their core re-examination of rules regarding how lawyers and people who aren’t licensed to practice law interact, including RPC 5.4 and RPC 7.2. This year’s Roadshow offers a crash course in what all of this is about, and what you can expect as to these potential fundamental changes to the landscape.
