TCAIL 24: The Ethical Use of AI in the Practice of Law

Description:

This session will explore current and likely future ethical implications for attorneys given the growth in availability of generative artificial intelligence technologies such as Chat GPT and the growing number of similar products tailored toward the practice of law. This session will discuss a vareity of ethics opinions issued over the last year, including ABA Formal Ethics Op. 512, related to Generative A.I. This session will also involve discussion of court orders, local rules, and law firm policies addressing the use of Generative A.I. in the legal sphere.
