Description:

Join the Immigration Law section and immigration attorneys, Bruce Buchanan and Bethany Jackson, for a 1 hour discussion on the recent Supreme Court decision, Dep’t of Homeland Sec. v. Regents of the Univ. of California, wherein the Court denied the Trump Administration’s attempt to rescind DACA because the rescission was arbitrary and capricious in violation of Administrative Procedures Act. Additionally, we will review the criteria for receiving DACA and work authorization. Finally, we will look ahead to new first time DACA applicants, Advance Parole requests and future legislative solutions.

It was very helpful. Though retired from active practice I interact with local Hispanic people some of whom are affected by the craziness of the DACA program. I was pleased to learn what had taken place as of last August and will keep up with the developments to be able to converse with them, since we are now post election in November and A.G. Barr has also now tendered his resignation. This 14 Dec 2020. Bruce and Bethany did a super job and their recommendation for Legislation to create some stability for these young people in our great country is the way to go.
