Making the Most of Technology: Bringing Virtual Legal Proceedings Closer to Home

Description:

This webcast will begin with a discussion of the benefits of incorporating legal technology into attorneys’ arguments and an explanation of the efficient development and appropriate use of demonstratives. It will also share tips and tricks for creating persuasive visual aids and choosing the right technology necessary to present arguments while being budget-minded.

Also covered is instruction on how the technology works and a review of trial presentation software packages (such as iPad, OnCue and TrialDirector) as well as a tutorial of their functionality. Finally, we will explain how these technologies translate from the courtroom setting to a remote web-conference platform and share field-based observations and “how-to” recommendations to strengthen security, avoid some known technical issues, and have a successful and persuasive virtual argument.
