Tennessee FastTrack 2021: Non-Lawyers Practicing Law: Coming Soon?

Description:

States around the country are opening the practice of law to non-lawyers by changing long-standing rules that regulate the legal profession. Non-lawyer ownership of law firms, sharing legal fees with non-lawyers, expanded payment of referral fees, and elimination of many advertising rules are on the table. Why are these changes being pursued? Are they likely to be effective? Will there be unintended consequences? These issues and more will be explored by the presenter and attendees in this session.
