This was a great panel presentation on lawyer decorum in the courtroom, both in-person and on Zoom. I learned 5 ways not to appear for a hearing on Zoom from Judge Wagner, which I thought were both informative and entertaining. Judge Wagner gave some very helpful insights and perspective on how to act in the courtroom. I learned the importance of addressing myself to the Court as opposed to engaging in conversation with opposing counsel while in the presence of the Court. Finally, I learned that there is a way to be candid with the Court without being disrespectful, and, as an advocate, it is important to be respectfully candid with the Court sometimes.

Always great to hear a judge’s perspective.

It was extremely helpful to learn from an experienced attorney as well as a judge about proper courtroom decorum including some of the less obvious mistakes that younger attorneys such as myself are liable to make.

Very interesting comments on decorum, especially manner in which to present an objection!
