In May 2012, the TBA Special Committee of the Glass Ceiling Initiative released a report titled, "Beyond the Glass Ceiling: Advancing and Retaining Women." Former TBA president Sherie Edwards formed the TBA Women in the Profession Committee in 2021 and tasked them with continuing to explore the issues discussed in the original report. The committee conducted a survey of licensed Tennessee attorneys in the spring of 2022 which explored various workplace topics. In addition to the survey, they organized three focus groups in Nashville, Knoxville and Memphis. The roundtable on March 24 will feature TBA's Interim Executive Director Barry Kolar, who will present the major findings of the survey, and Roberta Pettis of FocusWorks Consulting will discuss the results of the focus groups. There will be time allocated at the end of the program for participants to ask the speakers and members of the TBA WiP committee any questions.
