This unique in-person event provides attendees a chance to learn the issues faced when representing an organization as a client, particularly one as unique as a musical group. Lawyer Jim Jesse, former General Counsel for a music company and founder of Rock N' Roll Law, has first-hand experience in this arena.
The program will explore the Model Rules of Professional Conduct 1.7 (conflict of interest— current client); 1.13 (Organization as a client); 1.14 (Client with Diminished Capacity); and 2.1 (Role as Advocate). Further, the presenter will review the ethical issues in the “My Sweet Lord” copyright infringement case.
