The "financial abuse" addition to the definition of "abuse" in Family Law was very insightful in the Legislative update. I also really appreciated the thoroughness of the case law update and look forward to diving more deeply into each of the cases provided in the materials.
I have not practiced family law (other than sitting as Juvenile Judge) for many years. This course, especially the case law updates, was a great refresher course for me. I found it well presented and interesting. Thank you for offering this online.
Updates in legislation; case law foundation.
The new legislation - expansion of definition of abuse to include financial control. I like how Ms. Gill referenced the old law language to compare with the new language. For the case law - that transitional may not mean a set time. Private school tuition replacing divorce. I understand that these concepts and the others brought out are for argument, but I loved that Mr. Smith pointed these things and others out.
Some welcome changes, especially to the situation with de novo hearings by juvenile judges. Appreciate the presenters pointing out when a case gives a particularly good overview of an area of law so that I can tailor my further reading.
Greg Smith always does a great job and today was no different
Both presenters were extremely knowledgeable and concise.
Greg is outstanding.
Fabulous Review. Prob one of the better case review cle's I have watched. It was long tho.
