This panel will discuss the most significant decisions affecting entertainment law over the past twelve months. Among those decisions are Thaler v. Perlmutter, one of the first reported decisions involving artificial intelligence, and Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts v. Goldsmith, the decision from the Supreme Court of the United States clarifying the interpretation of “transformative” with respect to the fair-use defense under The Copyright Act of 1976.
