
This course will discuss the current legal standards used to determine whether a disclosure is prior art, the state of AI-generated disclosures, and whether AI-generated prior art in its current state would qualify as prior art. The discussion will then discuss the outlook for AI-generated disclosures, the USPTO’s request for comments on the topic of the impact of the proliferation of artificial intelligence on prior art, and the current discussion around how AI-generated prior art should be treated.
