Mentors and Mocktails: Developing Lawyers, Developing Leaders

A CLE on Mentorship and Professional Excellence
Description:

The TBA Mentoring Committee, in collaboration with the TBA Young Lawyers Division, will hold a special CLE and networking event "Mocktails and Mentorship" on Jan, 30, 2026, at Belmont University College of Law's Baskin Center.

Make plans now to join TBA President Heidi Barcus, Marshall County General Sessions Court Judge Lee Bussart, University of Tennessee Winston College of Law professor Joan Heminway, Amy Schmisseur, chair of Belmont University's College of Liberal Arts & Social Sciences, and Joseph Hubbard with Polsinelli as they explore topics of mentorship, leadership and communication across one's legal career. The day will include lunch, three hours of CLE credit, and the opportunity to network while making mocktails together.

Attendees will gain practical guidance, leadership insights, and tools for building supportive professional relationships.

Following the educational sessions, enjoy a relaxed, networking reception featuring crafted mocktails in the rotunda—an ideal setting to connect with colleagues, mentors, and future collaborators.
