Biography

William Campbell, Jr. is a United States District Judge for the Middle District of Tennessee. He was nominated by Donald J. Trump on July 13, 2017, confirmed by the Senate on January 9, 2018, and entered service on January 18, 2018. He was educated at the United States Naval Academy, graduating in 1991, and received his law degree from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2001. Before entering service as a District Judge, William worked in private practice in Alabama (2001-2003) and in Tennessee (2003-2017).
