Kirby Yost is an attorney at the Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel law firm. She is a shareholder in the firm and serves as the Real Estate Section Head. Her practice is counseling developers and businesses on transactions, with a focus on real estate acquisition and financing, retail and office leasing, land use, zoning, and other real property matters.
Kirby is noted in the Best Lawyers in America 2024 for Land Use and Zoning Law, Real Estate Law, and for 2022, she was noted in Best Lawyers in America Ones to Watch for Land Use and Zoning Law, Real Estate Law and Transportation Law. She was also listed in Mid-South Super Lawyers, Mid-South Rising Stars, Business/Corporate, 2021-2022.
Kirby currently serves on the Tennessee Bar Association's Real Estate Section Executive Council. She is also in the Leadership Chattanooga Alumni Association and an alumnus of the Tennessee Bar Association Leadership Law.
Kirby is very active in the community, and enjoys serving on local boards across various industries. Presently, Kirby serves on the Boys & Girls Club of Chattanooga Board of Directors, the Reflection Riding Arboretum & Nature Center Board of Directors, the Rotary Club of Chattanooga Board of Directors, where she is Vice President, and the University of Chattanooga Foundation Advisory Committee. She also serves on the American Heart Association Heart Ball Executive Leadership Team, the Charles H. Coolidge Medal of Honor Heritage Center Annual Fundraiser Committee, and the Creative Discovery Museum Amuseum Sponsorship Committee.
Kirby graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Law, magna cum laude, in 2011. She graduated from the University of Tennessee in 2017, summa cum laude, as a Chancellor's Honors Scholar.
Kirby and her husband, Jake, have three young sons: Fox, Fletcher, and Fielden. As a family, they enjoy the outdoors, sports, traveling, especially skiing and snowboarding, and attending all the Mocs football games and wrestling matches.
