Biography

Regan S. Steepleton is an attorney at Evans Petree in Memphis who focuses her practice on construction, commercial litigation, estate planning, and business transactions.  Regan has experience working on both residential and commercial construction projects, and assists her construction and surety clients in a variety of areas including surety bonding issues, delay analysis claims, change orders, defective and nonconforming work, mechanics and materialmen’s lien claims.  Regan also assists her clients with a range of civil litigation and complex commercial litigation disputes, representing both plaintiffs and defendants in matters including contract and transaction disputes, business divorces among owners, landlord/tenant issues, as well as other business and tort matters.

Regan also has experience assisting clients with their estate planning needs, including the drafting of wills and trusts, as well as assisting in the probate and estate administration process.

Regan assists her corporate clients in company formation and restructuring, drafting and reviewing contracts, and other transactions involving closely held businesses.

Regan is a 2018 graduate of the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law, where she received the Dean’s Award for Excellence, the Cecil C. Humphreys Fellowship Award, and the CALI Excellence Award. She also served as a Member of the Moot Court Board.

Regan was recently selected by her peers for inclusion in the 2025 Edition of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in the fields of Commercial Litigation, Construction Law, and Trusts and Estates for the fifth year. She has also been elected as an associate member in the Leo Bearman, Sr. Chapter of the American Inn of Court. She is also the Chair of the TBA Construction Law Section for the 2025-2026 bar year.
