Description: This three-hour program held in Manchester is designed to provide attorneys with the latest developments in multiple areas of the law. Speakers in this year's program include:

John Nicoll of The Law Office of Nicoll & Nicoll will cover federal sentencing pitfalls. Discussion will include why criminal defense attorneys who practice solely in state court still need to know about the federal sentencing laws, federal drug laws such as the Armed Career Criminal Act, and effective plea negotiations.

Amy Farrar and Mary Beth Hagan of Hagan & Farrar will discuss how to prepare cases for appeal, including: things to do for an appeal prior to and during trial, getting the final order right, and preparing the record for appeal.

Nathan Ridley of Bradley Arant Boult Cummings will share with attendees the latest developments in the legislative arena.
