Join your colleagues at the 11th Annual TBA Bankruptcy Forum at relaxing Buckberry Lodge for an informative and unique presentation of current issues of interest to bankruptcy attorneys.
This high-quality program will begin with an update on the recent bankruptcy case developments in the Sixth Circuit and around the country. Friday afternoon’s case update will be followed by a panel discussion of current issues of interest to Tennessee insolvency practitioners.
On Saturday, you will be organized into small groups with a discussion leader drawn from a faculty of prominent bankruptcy judges. These small group discussions will focus on case problems that bring into focus recent developments in the law and real-world problems that bankruptcy practitioners face. Group leaders will encourage the participants to analyze, discuss, and argue different approaches to the case studies. The program closes on Sunday with a three-hour session devoted to the ethical issues that arise in bankruptcy.
This year’s faculty includes four U.S. bankruptcy judges, including: the Hon. Paul Bonapfel of the Northern District of Georgia; the Hon. James Croom of the Western District of Tennessee; the Hon. Marcia P. Parsons of the Eastern District of Tennessee; and the Hon. Shelley D. Rucker of the Eastern District of Tennessee. The faculty also includes the Hon. William Brown, retired bankruptcy judge of the Western District of Tennessee, Lawrence "Larry" Ahern of Brown & Ahern in Nashville and Kathi Allen of Stites & Harbison PLLC in Nashville.
