The Tennessee Supreme Court is unfamiliar territory for most lawyers. Opportunities to practice in this court are few and success requires skills of oral and written advocacy. In this session you will learn the information and insight required to develop and perfect oral arguments. In the first half of the program you will hear from Andree Blumstein, Solicitor General, Tennessee Office of the Attorney General about best practices arguing before the TN. Supreme Court. Next Joe Whalen, Associate Solicitor General, and Steve Jobe, Senior Counsel TN Attorney General office, will discuss Dos and Don’ts about Preparing for Argument.
