The role of a guardian ad litem in the conservatorship/guardianship context consists of ensuring service has been proper upon the Respondent, meeting with the Respondent and Petitioner(s), and making a written recommendation (known as a report) to the Court regarding whether the Respondent has a disability and whether the conservatorship is warranted/whether the Petitioner is appropriate to serve as such.
