The TBA Law Tech Section is excited to offer three different law tech themed lunch and learn programs in three cities across the state of Tennessee featuring local speakers. The Knoxville program will take place on Dec. 15 and will discuss cybersecurity. Join us in early February for the Nashville program which will have a special 2-hour long "Bill & Phil Show." The Memphis program will be on March 15 and discuss Artificial Intelligence (AI).
The program in Knoxville will be hosted at Lewis Thomason (620 Market Street, 5th floor) and will be centered around cybersecurity issues. The first session will feature LMU professor and attorney Jody Prestia who will provide an update on changes in the cybersecurity landscape and whether what has been “best practice” for attorney cybersecurity remains so. The second session will feature Knoxville attorney Dan Swanson who will inform and provide resources to help attorneys assist clients who are victims of cybersecurity attacks. Learn about the various types of cybersecurity attacks and how to respond to ransomware and data breaches. The presentation will also discuss unique concerns for specific client industries (e.g. healthcare, financial, educational) frequently targeted by malicious hackers. Registration/check-in/lunch will begin at 11:30am ET, and then the program will begin at 12pm ET.
