This role play will involve a fact pattern which raises ethical issues requiring the application of the ethical standards to a mediator’s conduct. Attendees will be asked to decide whether the mediator has violated Rule 31 standards and procedures.

it is good to know the percentage of mediations that settle. It is also good to hear scenarios of people who have complaints, so those situations can be avoided.

Realistic hypothetical.

I thought the presentation was good in calling to the forefront the potential concerns on the part of the mediation participants and suggestions to address them prior to beginning the mediation and make sure that all participants understand what is in the agreement to mediate.
