Bankruptcy Law

20th Annual Bankruptcy Law Forum

Description:

The 20th Annual TBA Bankruptcy Law Forum will take place in Chattanooga from May 16 - 18. We hope you will join us for an informative, unique weekend retreat. The program is structured so that attendees have free time to either explore the mountains of Southeast Tennessee or the vibrant and scenic downtown area nestled along the Tennessee River. Included in the cost of the program is a Friday evening networking reception and dinner. Attendees may bring guests for an additional $100. When checking out, please select the number of guests you plan to bring. Ten hours of CLE credit are available for this program, including three hours of ethics.*

The forum kicks off Friday afternoon with three hours of high-quality CLE sessions. The program will begin with a discussion on recent developments impacting mortgages in bankruptcies. Attendees will enjoy a 90 minute bankruptcy case law update, and the day will end with a 30-minute "View from the Bench" session.

On Saturday, attendees will enjoy breakfast and then be organized into small groups with discussion leaders drawn from a faculty of prominent bankruptcy judges from across the state of Tennessee. These small group discussions are what set the forum apart from other bankruptcy law programs. They will focus on both consumer and commercial issues that bring into focus recent developments in the law and real-world problems that bankruptcy practitioners face. The judges will encourage the participants to analyze, discuss and argue different approaches to the case studies.

Following breakfast, the program closes on Sunday with a three-hour session devoted to the ethical issues that arise in bankruptcy.
