Description:

This program will involve a discussion by a panel of United States Magistrate Judges of discovery disputes that can occur under the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, how discovery disputes can be avoided, and how discovery disputes are resolved. The Program will also address Protective Orders in federal litigation and the considerations for their issuance.

I found it helpful to hear the comments of the three magistrates in this presentation.

It's always valuable to hear from the judges so that we understand how they think, to better facilitate what disputes they will resolve and which ones they don't like. Also good reminder about the new rule changes regarding objections to discovery.
