The 17th Annual Tennessee Bar Association Bankruptcy Law Forum is making a rare fall appearance this year. The forum will take place Sept. 24 - 26, 2021 in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Please make plans to join us in this wonderful and relaxing setting for an informative, unique retreat. Ten hours of CLE credit are available for this program, including three hours of ethics. Spots are limited for this in-person program.
The forum kicks off Friday afternoon with two high-quality CLE sessions. First, there will be an extensive presentation highlighting bankruptcy case law updates. You asked, and we listened! We've extended this session to last for two hours, so attendees are fully updated on developments in commercial and consumer law. The second session will feature an experiences panel of practitioners who will discuss recent developments impacting mortgages in bankruptcies, including new legislation and cases. Included in the cost of the program is a Friday evening networking reception and dinner. Details on location coming soon! Attendees may bring guests for an additional $75. When checking out, please select the number of guests you plan to bring.*
On Saturday, attendees will be organized into small groups with a discussion leader drawn from a faculty of prominent bankruptcy judges. These small group discussions are what set the forum apart from other CLEs. They will focus on case problems that bring into focus recent developments in the law and real-world problems that bankruptcy practitioners face. The judges will encourage the participants to analyze, discuss and argue different approaches to the case studies.
The program closes on Sunday with a three-hour session devoted to the ethical issues that arise in bankruptcy.
* Please note that this additional guest fee is nonrefundable after September 3.
Law students, legislators and judges may attend this offsite program for a reduced fee of $100.
