On July 17, 2024, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office issued an update on patent subject matter eligibility to assist eligibility evaluations in patent applications and patents involving inventions related to AI technology as the latest roll-out of guidance prompted by the Executive Order on Safe, Secure, and Trustworthy Development and Use of Artificial Intelligence. This webcast will provide an overview of the guidance update, including examples issued in conjunction with the update, and community comments responsive to the update.
