We hope you will join us in Nashville for this year's Business Law Forum – a day of sharing ideas and insight for all members of the Tennessee Business Law community. This day-long program will be split into two mini-sessions “TN Business Law 101” and “Advanced Topics” with a networking happy hour to round out a day of connection and education. This is the page to register for the three hours of beginner sessions and lunch only.
Our morning program will focus on topics relevant to early career professionals and seasoned practitioners looking for a refresher on basics of business law. This TN Business Law 101 mini-session will begin with a presentation on TN-specific laws such as usury and indebtedness tax, which often arise in debt financing transactions and M&A transactions. The morning will continue with a “back to basics” session focused on entity formation, including choice of jurisdiction and entity. Our last morning program will include a multi-firm panel discussion of drafting lessons and recommendations – lawyers of all experience levels will have a chance to learn from each other’s experiences and discuss best practices.
