This program covers recent trends, and related legal issues, in early-stage capital raising. In addition to addressing the different types of securities and other financial instruments being used by "young" firms to fund their operations in a transitory regulatory environment, the session provides commentary on the investment structures, business entity structures, intellectual property challenges and potential professional responsibility pitfalls associated with forming and funding young ventures.
