Labor & Employment Law Forum 2022: COVID and its Impact on Employment Law

Description:

A panel consisting of an in-house health care industry attorney (Casey Duhart), a defense/management-side attorney (Chris McCarty) and a plaintiff/employee-side attorney (Heather Collins), will examine the way that COVID has altered the landscape of employment law and created new challenges in the areas of religious accommodation, ADA accommodation, and employee privacy. In addition, the panel will preview emerging issues born from the COVID crisis that portend to be the next frontier of employment litigation (e.g., employer’s use of biometric data).

The extent to which you can ask or not ask when presented with a religious exemption request was very helpful. Answer: not much you can ask! Very good point made about the dangers of asking about health of family or household members.
